2) Discuss Wind Ensemble (auditions next Wednesday after school) and Jazz Band Auditions (auditions next Friday after school)

4) A Wild West-ern Regional Etude (beginning to measure 12)
5) Review the following rhythms: 2 sixteenths followed by an eighth, 2 eighths followed by a sixteenth, the "one and and" syncopated rhythm, and the dotted eighth followed by a sixteenth.
6) Re-play introduction. This is part one of your practicing assignment.
7) Introduce section 2
8) Count all rhythms, discuss style contrasts
9) Re-play section 2.
