Hello 7th Grade Band!
You will come in to a recording of "Looney Tunes"
Our beginning of the rehearsal routine is always the same. Come in: check off your name on the sign in sheet, quietly take out your instrument and take your seat while listening to the recording.
We learned a great deal from last week's assessment exercises, and we had an amazingly productive rehearsal addressing the weaknesses we identified with assessment. Last class, using the below lesson plan, we worked on polishing "James Bond" and "Sponge Bob." We did not get to "Looney Tunes" in either the 7th or the 8th grade rehearsal. Today therefore we will begin with that, but otherwise utilize the same plan as last week. Once complete however we will do a NEW recorded assessment to judge growth towards concert readiness.
1) Warm ups and Tune Up!
2) We will discuss concert order and then run the entire concert after warm ups.
3) We will record the entire concert while we run it.
4) Run James Bond
