8th Grade Band

Hello 8th Grade Band!
You will come in to a recordings of  "James Bond"

Our beginning of the rehearsal routine is always the same. Come in: check off your name on the sign in sheet, quietly take out your instrument and take your seat while listening to the recording.

The purpose of today's rehearsal is to assess how prepared we are for concert. We will  decide on what portions of the program need the most work and construct a plan to work in teams to address the trouble areas that we discover during assessment.

1) Warm ups and Tune Up!
2) We will discuss concert order and then run the entire concert after warm ups.
3) We will record the entire concert while we run it.
4) Listen back to the concert with our rating scale in mind. You will need a pencil for this step. Circle any problem areas in your music.
5) Discuss problem areas.
6) Sectionals
7) Direct Instruction
Brain Break
8) Direct Instruction
9) Student Conductors
10) Re-run the concert and record.
11) Listen and assessment


12) Closure.
